There are more castles within a 25 mile radius of Cross Hands than there are a similar area in England. Most are still accessible and many quite spectacular.
A grim reminder of Wales turbulent past... something that continued until quite recently.

Carmarthenshire has some outstanding countryside with National Parks, Reserves, areas of Special Scientific Interest and of course Gardens...
Aberglasney is already well known and the National Botanical Gardens (just on our doorstep) unfortunately became famous for all the wrong reasons.
They are all worth a visit if for no other reason than to appreciate what a beautiful part of Wales we live in.
